I love and look forward to the Fall each year .. foot ball, my sport but even more important than that .. the first taste of Nantucket’s “Cape Scallops” ( ours w/ bourbon & bacon ) ! The season opens on November 1st. There is simply NO BETTER scallop in the world . I also eat them raw .. so sweet, so clean ! We always “pull out all stops” on this menu : Souffle Potatoes ( my Chef’s nightmare dish to do successfully ) ; Turkey Thigh Meatballs w/ Garnet Yam Gnocchi .. truly delicious ; Sugar Pumpkin Agnolotti in a fresh white truffle flour pasta .. melts in your mouth ; Oven Crisped Pork Shortrib with a decadent Sicilian Wedding Ravioli .. splash of Grappa ; and a fresh picked King Crab Risotto.
For main courses , we have introduced a baby Porcelet Chop from Canada with a Cornbread Sformato , Apple Butter & tobacco , sage jus .. my son Ex. Sous Chef Alex Pineda’s idea .. ; We are loving our Lobster cooked over Apple Wood Smoke .. so delicate ; the crisp crumbed Haddock w/ Fragrant Scottish Kedgeree ( a combination of basmati rice , curry and bits of smoked haddock is marvelous ) and fun to eat !! Lastly , the indulgent Veal Rib Eye Steak w/ Marsala Soubise & Grilled King Oyster Mushrooms .. Yuzu Aioli is a showstopper .. we are loving that .. I even introduced a Catella Veal Kidney with Garlic/Parsley Risotto & Sugarcane Bacon .. for those “offal lovers” like myself ! Jason McCarthy’s new desserts are spot on ! Try the Pear Brown Butter Tart !!

Booked for valentines eve. Atmosphere is great in here. For an app we had the scallops which were fantastic. For dinner, the Brick chicken is the best chicken ive ever had in my life. The skin on the chicken is so crispy and flavorful it is absolutely to die for. Also had the shortrib which was delcious, accented with roasted potatoes, gnochi and homeade crispy potato crisps. The combination of flavors and textures on that dish was pure artistry. For dessert was a banana bread pudding and brown butter ice cream, again this dish was flawless. Chef Lydia Shire has created a wonderful, elegant yet casual, foodie destination restaurant. Exceptional meal.
