Our Commitment

Every guest should be able to find their way to our table. Scampo is committed to a website that is usable by the widest possible audience, whatever technology or ability you bring to it. We work to improve the accessibility and usability of this site on an ongoing basis, and we hold it to recognized standards.

Conformance Status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, and it is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

What This Site Does

Accessibility is built into how this site is published. Every page includes:

• A “Skip to main content” link as the first focusable element on every page
• Full keyboard navigation, including the mobile menu, with visible focus indicators throughout
• Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a logical heading order
• Descriptive alternative text on images

• Reservations — table reservations are handled by OpenTable. If you have any difficulty booking online, call us at (617) 536-2100 and we will reserve your table directly.
• Maps — embedded map content is provided by Google. Our Hours & Location page also lists our full address in plain text.
• Social platforms — we link out to Instagram and Facebook, which manage their own accessibility.
